Perfect imperfection #1 / Size P

This piece is part of the ‘Perfect Imperfection’ range, where I make pieces using ‘cracked’ opals. But before ya get scared off, the cracks are actually just a teeny tiny hairline fractures in the opal layer. Cracks like this do not go all the way through to the other side (probably only about 10-20% of the way down, depending on the thickness of the opal layer), and are often barely visible even under magnification! Lots of Australian boulder opal naturally occurs in this way, but it rarely get used in jewellery as it’s seen as a flaw. For me, I just see it as another quirk in the stone! Fractures in boulder opal like this have no impact on the life of the stone, and won’t get worse with wear, they’re purely just a cosmetic flaw. And the best part - often you can get a stone that would usually be worth hundreds, even thousands, for a fraction of the price just because it has a few tiny cracks in it!

If you don’t know your ring size, you can order a free sizer here - just pay postage. You can also measure the width of your finger at the knuckle and compare to the ring diameter to get an approximate idea if it will fit, however getting properly sized is highly recommended as I do not offer refunds for ordering the wrong size.

Please ensure you’ve ordered the correct ring/bracelet/necklace size. If you’ve ordered the wrong one, you can return the piece at your own expense and pick something else from the store, but I cannot offer a refund for this being a small business x
